"ACCU-MAX I" CONTROLLER by Ultralife Reef Products Operating Instruction 1. Unpack meter, calibrating\verification solutions, electrode from package. 2. Connect electrode to meter. Connect power cord to proper power supply. 3. For PH calibration: Put electrode into ph 7.00 buffer solution. Slide switch to right-side (M). Adjust slotted screw marked 'CAL' to display value 7.00. Remove electrode from solution, rinse in distilled water to clean electrode. Place electrode in ph 4.00 buffer. Adjust slotted screw marked 'SLOPE" to display 4.00. The electrode is now calibrated properly. 4. Slide switch to left-side (S). Adjust slotted screw marked 'SET' to desired PH setpoint. Value on display will reflect your desired setpoint. 5. To adjust desired ORP setpoint. Slide switch to left-side (S). Adjust slotted screw marked 'S' to desired ORP setpoint. To Verify if your ORP electrode is functioning properly, follow procedure on Electrode Verification Instructions. 6. Slide the ORP or PH slide switch to right-side (M). the meter is now set to monitor\control. 7. Plug devices to be controlled (ozonizers or C02 systems, etc) into 3-prong power output sockets on power module. Place the Electrode into aquarium or sump. Be sure that the White Top of the Electrode is at all times ABOVE the water level. 8. The control span (ON\OFF control) is factory preset and should not require any adjustment. The control span sensitivity can be adjusted if so desired. This adjustment is very sensitive and should only be done after controller has been in use for some time and only if the preset control span is unacceptable. 9. If you need to change the control sensitivity (Deadband) of either PH or ORP the following instructions are applicable to both. A) Place electrode in solution. . B) Set switch to 'M': Allow readout numbers to stabalize, write down the number. C) Set switch to 'S', then turn the 'SET' screw clockwise to lower the numbers until you go below the number from step B and the Red LED light goes off. D) After LED goes out, turn 'SET' screw SLOWLY counter clockwise raising the number until Red LED light goes on. E) Write down the number. F) The difference between this number and number from step B, is 1/2 of your Deadband. (example: a difference of 35 means your Deadband is 70). G) Adjust your Deadband (D.B.) screw to change the D.B. (turn clockwise will widen D.B., counter clockwise will narrow the D.B.) H) Repeat above steps until you reach your desired Deadband.To set Deadband (D.B.) Ultralife Reef Products warrants this ACCU-MAX I controller to be free of defects for a period of 1 year from the date of original purchase. ltralife Reef Products will, at its option repairr replace it, provided the consumer: 1. Obtains a return authorization from Ultralife Reef Products. 2. Includes proof of original consumer purchase properly dated attached to this card within 20 days of original purchase. Returns must be made postage paid and insured. This warranty does not cover damages resulting from accident, misuse, dirt, water, tampering, unreasonable use or servicing performed or attempted by unauthorized service agencies. All implies warranties, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose are limited in duration to 1 year from original consumer purchase. In no event will Ultralife Reef Products be responsible for consequential damages resulting from the use of this product. Electrodes have a 90 day warranty.
