For PH calibration: Put electrode into ph 7.00 buffer solution. Slide switch to right-side (M). Adjust slotted screw marked 'CAL' to display value 7.00. Remove electrode from solution, rinse in distilled water to clean electrode. Place electrode in ph 4.00 buffer. Adjust slotted screw marked 'SLOPE" to display 4.00. The electrode is now calibrated properly. 4. Slide switch to left-side (S). Adjust slotted screw marked 'SET' to desired PH setpoint. Value on display will reflect your desired setpoint. 5. To Verify if your ORP electrode is functioning properly, follow procedure on Electrode Verification Instructions. 6. Slide both the ORP and PH slide switches to right-side (M). the meter is now set to monitor\control both PH and ORP. 7. Plug devices to be controlled (ozonizers or C02 systems, etc) into 3-prong power output sockets on power module. Place the Electrode into aquarium or sump. Be sure that the White Top of the Electrode is at all times ABOVE the water level. 8. The control span (ON\OFF control) is factory preset and should not require any adjustment. The control span sensitivity can be adjusted if so desired. This adjustment is very sensitive and should only be done after controller has been in use for some time and only if the preset control span is unacceptable. 9. If you need to change the control sensitivity of either PH or ORP the following instructions are applicable to both. The Slotted screw marked 'D.B.' (Dead Band) will allow you to adjust the sensitivity from 0-5%. The control sensitivity (On\Off control) can be adjusted more sensitive by turning screw counter- clockwise. And less sensitive by turning clockwise. Care should be taken when adjusting the sensitivity, very small adjustments can make quite large changes in the control sensitivity. The easiest way to adjust the sensitivity is while the slide switch is to right-side (M), first make note of the ON\OFF cycle span. Make very small adjustments to slotted screw marked 'D.B.'. You must again watch unit go through the ON\OFF cycle, making note of the cycle span. If the span is acceptable, you need do nothing else, the unit will now control to your desired span. If you would like to make further adjustments, follow above procedure again. Be sure to make note of the cycle span each time.
